I LOVE shopping in the spring! The new colours and fresh items are so exciting. And I know there are a lot of people out there like me, who consider shopping a sport!

Imagine living in a condominium situated near spectacular shops, whether it’s close to the prestigious Yorkville neighbourhood, the trendy venues along Queen and King West, the mid-town magic of Yorkdale Shopping Centre, the spectacular appeal of Sherway Gardens, Square One Mississauga, Bayview Shopping Centre, Fairview Mall … the choices are phenomenal. It’s a fairly recent phenomenon that residential communities are popping up all around these great facilities.

And why not? Living close to shopping means you can plan a get-together in the party room in your building, and have the convenience of walking to the store to get what you need. With the hectic pace people keep today, the luxury of errands being just a stroll away is wonderful. No having to start up the car, drive through traffic, find a parking spot, etc.

Living in a condominium is about having someone else take care of maintenance to free up time for more leisure and the things owners enjoy. Shopping is just one of them. Keep in mind, too, that shopping malls and plazas contribute to the sense of community in an area. Today, you will find an astounding assortment of businesses and services in these facilities, as well as stores. And let’s not forget restaurants – whatever your pleasure, you can find everything from fast food to fine dining in numerous ethnic cuisines.

Your local mall may have a business centre, medical or dental clinic, hairdressing salon, drug store, post office … the possibilities are endless. And if you can’t walk to shopping, your condominium is most likely on a public transportation route, which is always handy.

Condominiums are fabulous on oh, so many levels. Why not live where you can shop till you drop close to home?
